新潟市美術館は2019年8月にバウハウス開校100周年を祝う展覧会を開催予定です。そのプレ・イベントの１つとして、本講演会は位置づけられています。モダンデザインの源流としてデザインに関心を持つ人々にはおなじみのバウハウスですが、その具体的な活動内容や思想についてはよく知らない、もっと学びたいというかたが多いのも事実。この講演会は、バウハウスをもっと深く知るための機会であるとともに、地域社会における、現代の私たちにとっての「デザインの力」を考えるきっかけにもなりそうです。バウハウス好きも、デザインにちょっと興味がある方も是非お越し下さい。

The Niigata City Art Museum is planning to hold an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus opened in August next year. This lecture is positioned as one of its pre-events.
Bauhaus is familiar for those who are interested in design as a source of modern design, but it is also true that there are many who want to learn more about Bauhaus, not familiar with the concrete activity and thought of Bauhaus.
This lecture is a good opportunity to know Bauhaus more deeply and it is likely to be a trigger to think about “the power of design” for us today in the local community. Not only bauhaus lovers, but also those who are a little interested in design are welcome to come.
