私たちの身の周りにある、さまざまな境界に光をあて、コレクションの名品を 「境 界」に関わる6つのテーマに沿って紹介する展覧会です。多様なジャンル、時代の作品のなかで、日本では希少なマックス・ビルの彫刻作品「一本の線で仕切ら れた平面」が展示されます。学生としてバウハウスに学び、戦後ウルム造形大 学の初代学長となり教育に携わったビルは、建築、絵画、彫刻、グラフィック デザイン、プロダクトデザイン、そして造形教育等々、境界を越えて多彩な領 域で活躍しました。彼の彫刻作品を知るチャンスです。

会場  : 兵庫県立美術館
開室時間  :  10:00 ~ 18:00 (特別展開催中の金・土曜日は午後8時閉館)  ※入場は閉館の 30 分前まで
休館日 :  毎週月曜日(ただし 4 月 29 日(月・祝)、5月6日(月・休)は開館) および5月7日(火)
入場料 :   一般 : 500 円 (400)[300] 円 / 大学生 : 400 (300)[200] 円 /70 歳以上 : 250(200)[150] 円 / 高校生以下 : 無料

Max Bill studied at the Bauhaus as a student. He became the first director of the Ulm School of Design after the war and was involved in education at the school. He was an artist, active in many fields of arts, like architecture, painting, sculpture, graphic design, product design. He worked in a wide range of fields beyond boundaries.

It is a good chance to see his sculpture work in Japan.
